I think I've always been a lover of love. Love at first sight, stories that took years to start, those that took detours... They all touch me.
For 15 years, I worked in event planning. I saw countless weddings, from the simplest to the most extravagant, and each had its own unique beauty. But over the years, one thing remained constant: the moments that truly resonated with the audience were almost always those shared by loved ones. A father reading a text with a trembling voice, a best friend recounting the couple's first night together, a little brother unintentionally making everyone laugh.
Then my sister asked me to write and read her ceremony. I spent entire evenings on it, searching for the right words, reminiscing about our memories. On the big day, I saw our loved ones laugh, cry, and look at each other. That's when I knew what I wanted to do.
The Pen That Unites was born like that.
What I do:
I write bespoke secular ceremonies from start to finish. The arrival of guests, your entrances, speeches, rituals, music, little surprises, your exit—nothing is taken from a template. Every moment is designed for you, based on what you truly want to experience that day, not on what is "the done thing.".
And I like to give your loved ones a real role. They know you best, they've seen your story unfold. I help them find their words, I reassure them, and I make sure their contribution reflects them as much as it reflects you.
Officer, or step aside, your choice:
I can officiate the ceremony myself on the big day, in Normandy and the surrounding areas. I can also write the entire ceremony for one of your loved ones to deliver. Honestly, that's what I prefer: when it's your witness or your aunt who unites you, it has a special flavor that no one else can provide.
It's up to you to choose what suits you best. My presence is never mandatory.
How it works:
We start by chatting, the three of us, via video call or phone. You tell me about yourselves, what you imagine, and sometimes what scares you. I answer all your questions honestly. I prefer to be clear from the start; that's how I work.
Next, each of you fills out your own questionnaire. I need both of your versions of the story; they are never exactly the same, and that's often where the most beautiful things are hidden.
Then we build the ceremony together, and I stay there until the big day for anything you need.
A word about me:
People often tell me I seem strong. It's true. But I'm also very sensitive, and it's this sensitivity that makes me write. I remember your grandmother's name, the story of your disastrous first date, the song that was playing in the car that night. It's these details that make a ceremony uniquely yours.
I'm getting married soon myself. So I know what it's like to want that moment to be just right.
If you'd like to talk about it, feel free to write to me. Tell me a little about yourself, and we can arrange a meeting.

Murmur:
The essence, written from the heart. Based on the questionnaire completed by each of you, I will write your ceremony entirely customized to your needs, from the arrival of your guests to your departure. A revision is included to tailor the text to your wishes. Ideal if you love surprises and want to share your story with complete confidence. (Delivered in PDF format)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Promise:
For those who want a bit more interaction. Everything Murmure includes, with a video call during the writing process and two revisions. We take the time to refine each passage together.
Your symbolic ritual is included: a moment just for you, created from your story, to seal your union in a way that transcends words. (Delivered in PDF format and/or a printed version sent by mail)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Four-Handed Collaboration:
A ceremony written with two pens: mine, and yours or that of your officiant.
For you, the future bride and groom, if you want to maintain control over your text while still receiving guidance, I can help. You write, I help you structure it, find the right words, and give it rhythm.
With your officiant, so that he can add his own touch, his memories, his way of speaking. A text that reflects him is a text he will read with naturalness and emotion on the big day.
In both cases, I will support you with unlimited sessions until everything feels right.
Your symbolic ritual is included, and we'll create it together: a gesture that reflects you, one your loved ones won't forget. (Delivered in PDF format and/or a printed version sent by mail)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Osmosis:
Complete support. I write your ceremony and I am present on the day to narrate it myself.
Your symbolic ritual is included: I imagine it for you, and I will be by your side to experience it with you, at the moment when everyone holds their breath.
Available in Normandy and wherever love calls me.
